Dan Lin has been appointed as Netflix's new head of film, taking over from Scott Stuber who announced his departure in March. Lin, known for producing successful films such as the 'Lego' franchise, 'It,' and 'Aladdin,' will officially start on April 1 and report to Bela Bajaria, Netflix's chief content officer.
Prior to founding his production company Rideback, Lin served as senior VP of production at Warner Bros. During his time there, he oversaw the development of major films like 'The Departed.' Lin's experience as both an executive and a producer has been marked by his ability to attract exceptional filmmakers.
