Dame Mary Berry once posted a cow's teat through her brother's letterbox as a prank

For an udderly “saucy” prank, Dame Mary Berry once posted a cow’s teat through her brother’s letterbox.

The chef’s first foray into television cooking saw her bake a Georgian udder pie, with the baggy bovine mammaries delivered to her parents’ home in Bath ahead of filming for the programme.

But before the shoot for Collector’s World started - back in 1971 - she decided to have a bit of fun with her sibling who lived along the same road.

“The first thing I did, which was very saucy, I cut off one of the teats and put it through my brother’s letterbox,” the chef giggles.

Mary, 87, also discussed going raving in Ibiza superclub Pacha at the age of 71, telling Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett’s Dish podcast: “I can remember thinking this is terribly exciting, and I can remember going up the steps into Pacha where somebody came forward and stamped you.

Amazed, she adds: “I’d never been stamped before, I thought, will it ever come off? It was like a rabbit warren. It was narrow and there were lots of floors and lots of paths, and everybody was drinking and smoking.

“It suddenly struck me that if there was a fire, would we ever get out? But even so - it was good fun.”

Most udderly good fun.

Owen Warner

He's busy eating all the food after I'm A Celeb (ITV)

He wasted away before our eyes on I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! and now Owen Warner reckons he might be suffering Post Traumatic Stress Disorder from his jungle diet.

The Hollyoaks star shed over a stone and a half during his stint, and is now busy stuffing his face.

“Since I’ve left it’s been like anywhere I go I have to be full to the brim,” he says. “I order a meal then I’m like right, another one, dessert, get me all the sides.

“I need to be unable to move just in case someone drags me back to the jungle. I’ve got PTSD from it.”

His weight fell to 12st 5lb, but he has already gorged so much he is back up to 13st 5lb. “That’s in a week,” he tells pal Chris Moyles on Radio X. “I’ve still got more eating to do.”

‘Tis the season for it.
