Dame Esther Rantzen has given a poignant update on her cancer battle as she revealed she will celebrate Christmas early this year as there's "more chance I'll be alive".

The television veteran, 85, has been battling stage four lung cancer since 2023 and was even given a prognosis of just weeks at one point.
