Daley Blind believes Erik ten Hag has what it takes to be a success at Manchester United, but only if he truly has the full backing of the board.
Ten Hag, 52, has effectively begun work as the new United manager after he took charge of his final game with Ajax at the weekend. The Dutchman brought great success back to the Amsterdam club, ending their five-year wait for an Eredivisie title and winning three of them during his time there.
Ten Hag will be hoping to follow suit when he officially starts his role this summer, and former United defender Blind says he is 'quite confident' he will be a success.

However, the Dutch defender again reiterated the need for patience and support from the United board, highlighting the key role both Edwin van der Sar and Marc Overmars also played at Ajax.
“Erik ten Hag is a great guy," Blind said on the Dutch TV show Bij Andy in de Auto. "I am quite confident in him at Manchester United, but he needs the board behind him.
"At Ajax he had Van der Sar and Overmars behind him no matter what, also in bad times. I hope he gets the time there, he is one of the best managers around."
