Here are your Tuesday morning Manchester United headlines.
Blind's transfer temptation
Daley Blind admits he was tempted to call Erik ten Hag and offer a return to Manchester United after leaving Ajax in December.
Blind left the Dutch side for the second time of his career at the end of last year, with both club and player mutually agreeing to terminate his contract. The 33-year-old became a free agent ahead of the January window, eventually joining Bayern Munich.
The defender spent several seasons under Ten Hag at Ajax before the manager left for Old Trafford last year. And he was tempted to offer his services in January, but admitted he was probably not what United needed at the time.
"No [I didn't call him]," Blind the UTD podcast after admitting he was tempted. "To be honest, he has the same agent as me, so the connection is not that far away."
Ten Hag praise
Juan Sebastian Veron believes Erik ten Hag's 'clear vision' sets him apart from Sir Alex Ferguson's previous successors at Manchester United.
Ten Hag enjoyed a brilliant first season in charge at Old Trafford, winning the Carabao Cup in February - a first trophy in six years - and secured a place in next season's Champions League with a third-place finish. The Dutchman was able to implement his playing style instantly, helped by a number of shrewd arrivals last summer.
Last month marked 10 years since the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson, a decade in which seven managers had come and gone before Ten Hag's arrival. And Veron, who played for United between 2001 and 2003, believes the Dutchman stands above the rest.
"After Sir Alex Ferguson left Manchester United, and the last of the generation of Giggs, Scholes, Beckham, Neville, Keane, etcetera all left the club, they have found it very difficult to consistently deliver results, performances and a good team," Veron told Gambling Zone.
