Daisuke Yokota admits it's a "big challenge" for him to be Rangers' first ever Japanese talent having signed from Hannover - but he's relishing the environment.
The 26-year-old winger arrived as Derek McInnes' latest recruit and was immediately thrust into his debut against Jagiellonia Białystok in their European qualifier. Having signed on Wednesday, Yokota played on the Thursday and learned quickly how intense things can be in Glasgow.
It may have been a quick turnaround for the playmaker but he insists it was a solid start despite the result. And when asked how his teammates have welcomed him, Yokota said: "It's been so busy. A lot happened in the last few days. I flew from Germany to England, England to Scotland and then Scotland to Poland. Time flies.

"I had no time to think about (my debut). It was good. The result was not what we wanted.
"The group have welcomed me a lot but there's not been time to adapt to my teammates. They were nice to me!"
Asked why he opted to make the move to Ibrox, Yokota added: "This club is big, one of the biggest in Europe.
"Being the first Japanese player to play for the club was one of the reasons to come here. Because that's a big challenge for me to be the first, maybe Asian player. It's a lot of pressure I know but I'll enjoy it."
