A dad-of-three was left worried and scratching his head after his Ring doorbell caught a stranger’s suspicious behaviour in the early hours of the morning.
Adam Colton was able to watch the unknown figure creeping onto his driveway at 5:15am.
While he and the rest of his family were in bed, the stranger made their way up the drive of the house in Southport, Merseyside, the Liverpool Echo reports .
In the footage, the stranger walks right up to the doorstep, before he stops, and walks back to the roadside once more.
However, just two minutes later, seemingly the same person returns from the direction he walked off in.
They then appear to proceed to snatch something from the doorstep and race off in the opposite direction once more.
Adam said: "I saw the notification that there was some movement when I got up at 6.30am.
“I was expecting it to be a lorry going past which is common, though when checked seen the footage.
“It doesn’t look like they’re delivering a parcel to me at that time, it possibly looks like they’re stashing something.
"A bit strange how they return and then run off. It’s a little bit unnerving as it is only me and my three children in the household."
Adam also added nothing had been taken from the front of his home.
He said: "No nothing I had a good look and couldn’t see anything or any markings.
"There is nothing to take out the front. It could be innocent but I really can’t see how it can be."
