A dad carried his young son on a motorbike despite having no licence or insurance.
Merseyside Police stopped the bike on Wargrave Road, Newton-le-Willows after it was seen driving over pavements and speeding. Officers claimed the driver had his four-year-old son sat on the bike's petrol tank, "showing no regard for his child's safety".
After the traffic stop, police asked the driver: "Do you not have any consideration for your child's safety?" To which the man allegedly answered: "Yeah but it's cool to get dropped off at school on a motorbike."

After further questioning, it was discovered that the man had no insurance for the Suzuki bike, as well as no valid driving licence. The bike was subsequently seized, with the dad reported for dangerous driving, driving without a licence, no insurance and no obligatory lights.
A statement from Merseyside Police said: "This morning our Newton-le-Willows Officers were patrolling Wargrave Road when to their dismay they sighted a male riding a Suzuki Bandit motorbike, upon closer inspection, the male had his four year old son sat astride the petrol tank. The rider shown no regards to his child's safety.
"The male was followed by our officers who were driving incognito in a plain vehicle, the male was observed, showing no consideration to the road rules, driving over pavements and speeding.
"When the male came to a stop he was greeted by our friendly officers who had a few questions to ask the male...… When asked "Do you not have any consideration for your child's safety?" the males response was "Yeah but it's cool to get dropped off at school on a motorbike"
"It was clear to the officers at this point how the rest of conversation was going to go. After further questioning, it was revealed that the male had also a few other concerning issues, like no insurance and no licence.
"It's safe to say that the bike was seized, he was reported for dangerous driving, driving without a licence, no insurance and to top it off no obligatory lights."
