A dad who has lost a lot of weight is now not even recognisable while doing the school run.
Mike Smith states that people do not even believe it is him after his dramatic weight loss.
The 43-year-old was treated at a Birmingham clinic before he shed the pounds, Birmingham Live reports.
He lost half of his body weight after having a gastric sleeve and changing up his lifestyle.
He said: "I felt isolated by society. I just felt like people were watching me all the time."
Mike underwent the gastric surgery last summer, and said: "I had to go on a pre-op diet which meant I could only eat 800 calories a day for 28 days.
"It was brutal because at the time I was so used to eating a lot of all the wrong stuff.
"After the surgery you're almost back to being a baby [with food].
"You start on fluids, work your way up to purées and then you introduce solids after six or seven weeks to see how your body reacts."
He has since joined Slimming World, where he is learning about eating more healthily.
And his chest size has dropped to 44 in - from a huge 72.
"The kids now say to me 'do we have to walk to school, Dad?' Life has improved tenfold - everything is easier," he said.
"I couldn't even have a bath before. I couldn't go to a public toilet as I was worried I wouldn't fit in. If we went to a caravan park I'd have to make sure there was a big enough toilet for me to fit in."
