Dad told 'I think he is gone' after dragging man, 21, out of water

A dad has opened up about his experience when he tried to save a man who drowned in the sea at Crosby beach.

Steven Calder, 39, was out for a walk with a friend on Cosby beach when he saw Hamza Mansoor, 21, and four of his friends being pulled out of the water. Hamza who was unable to swim was swept out to sea on July 20, 2021.

Steven who watch the events unfold came to Hamza's aid, performing CPR before the men were taken away in an ambulance. Steven said he "thinks about it every day".
