Dad's fury as disabled son, 18, refused entry to Legoland Discovery Centre

A dad has spoken of his anger after his teen son was turned away from a Legoland attraction. Ethan Wheale, who has Down's Syndrome and ADHD, was refused entry into the Legoland Discovery Centre in Birmingham because he has recently turned 18.

Dad Gordon Wheale says that his son, has a mental age of roughly six years old, plays with Lego everyday and loves building walls with the colourful bricks. Ethan had been taken to the centre, for which he has Merlin Annual Pass, by his auntie on Tuesday, August 9, Birmingham Live reports.

The pair decided to visit the attraction while the rest of his went to Harry Potter World, which Gordon says Ethan wasn't interested in. However, after arriving at the centre, they were told they weren't allowed in as Ethan is no longer classed as a child.
