Dad handed 'silent killer' diagnosis after sudden urge to urinate every 45 minutes

A dad who was having the need to urinate every 45 minutes was diagnosed with a "silent killer".

Jim McDonald first started having symptoms in November last year, but the 73-year-old initially dismissed them as being age-related despite feeling "embarrassed" when out with friends.

But, by December, he "knew something was wrong" as he was having to go to the toilet up to five times every night.
