A 49-year-old dad died of cancer after getting the wrong diagnosis, an inquest has heard. The coroner has said he will write to the local NHS trust to highlight his concerns.
David Hulme was diagnosed with rare condition sarcoidosis in 2014. It causes small patches of red and swollen tissue. But in February 2021 it was found he had lymphoma, a cancer of the lymph system - and he died one month later.
Senior coroner Ian Arrow heard evidence from staff at Derriford Hospital about understaffing, reports PlymouthLive.
