Dad banned from Lidl for complaining about box of eggs that had been 'chewed by a rat'

A fuming dad has been banned from Lidl for complaining about a box of eggs - that had been 'chewed by a rat'. Matt Garside, 59, complained to staff after he found the box that he thought had been gnawed by rats.

But instead of apologising, bosses at the cut-price supermarket barred him from the store for six months. Matt said: “This made me angry. It was so simple, and they have just shot the messenger. But I just stuck to my guns, and in the end, I’ve been banned.

"I don’t know why they have dealt with this in this way. It’s just beyond me."
