The Czech Republic's Eurovision 2022 act has a surprising connection to Leeds.

The three-person band, called We Are Domi, made it through the competition's second semi-final last night, Thursday, May 12, and will be performing in the final on Saturday, May 14. We Are Domi is made up of singer Dominika (Domi) Hašková, from the Czech Republic, and Norwegians Benjamin Rekstad and Casper Hatlestad.

But the three first met while they were all studying at Leeds Conservatoire back in 2016, where they came together for one of Dominika's recitals. Now, they say voting for them is 'voting for Leeds'.
