Billy Walters has embraced the new Brisbane defensive system he was once sceptical about as he prepares to play Canberra in the best form of his career.

The versatile 31-year-old's punishing defence while playing five-eighth against Melbourne in the 30-14 win last week clearly inspired his teammates.
