One of the largest coach companies in Wales has partnered with global coach brand FlixBus.
Swansea-based Cymru Coaches has joined the German coach company's UK network to operate daily services between London and Swansea, with the route including stops at Heathrow Airport, Bristol, Cardiff and Bridgend.
This is the second Welsh operator to join FlixBus.
Last month, Pontyclun coach company Bella Road Services was the first in Wales to join FlixBus' UK network operating services from London to Heathrow Airport and Cardiff, as well as a new stop at Newport.
FlixBus UK managing director Andreas Schorling said: "We’re making clear our ambition to become the market leader in the UK, and we’re delighted to bring Cymru Coaches on board as a long-term partner ahead of the summer holiday season to deliver services between Wales and England.
"The experienced Cymru team have an entrepreneurial mindset and a strong appetite for success through excellent operations and customer service. They are a fantastic asset to our network and we look forward to growing together."
"We’re really planning ahead now to scale our network in 2023, so now is the time for operators from all parts of the country to consider beginning their journey with FlixBus."
Steve Pearce, managing director at Cymru Coaches, said: "We are really impressed with the innovation, energy and ambition FlixBus is bringing to the UK’s coach industry."
He added: "It’s an exciting time to be joining FlixBus, and we’re looking forward to taking our business into its next phase by becoming a partner to a globally recognised brand."
