A cyclist was left injured in the road after a "serious" hit and run.
Officers were called to a crash at 11.59am on Sunday, March 20 at the junction of Padgate Lane and Green Lane in Warrington between a cyclist and a blue car. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop at the scene, leaving the injured cyclist in the road.
Police believe the car which failed to stop at the scene of the crash could be a Volkswagen Golf. Officers are appealing to anyone who was in the area and witnessed the crash to come forward with any information.

They added if anyone saw a blue car leaving at or around the time of the crash, or have any CCTV or dash cam footage, to also come forward with any information. A spokesperson for Cheshire Police added if someone knows a person who owns a blue car, possibly a Volkswagen Golf, and it has new damage to contact police.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: "Cheshire Roads and Crime Unit are investigating a serious fail to stop collision between a cyclist and a blue vehicle. The collision took place just before 11.59am today (20/03/22) at the junction of Padgate Lane and Green Lane.
"The driver of the blue vehicle possibly a Volkswagen Golf failed to stop at the scene leaving the injured cyclist in the road. If you were in the area at, or around the time of this incident and witnessed the collision, or a blue vehicle leaving the area, have any CCTV or dash camera footage, or any information which may assist our investigation please contact Cheshire Police quoting incident number IML-1226876
"Also if someone you know owns a blue vehicle possibly a Volkswagen Golf and it has new damage to it please contact us quoting the reference number above. "Any information no matter how minor could assist our investigation."
