A cyclist died after being struck by a car in Dunoon yesterday.
Emergency services raced to the A815 near Sandbank, Dunoon at around 3.55pm on Tuesday following a collision involving a silver Toyota Yaris, a cyclist and a pedestrian.
The 67-year-old male cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 63-year-old female pedestrian was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow with serious injuries.
The female driver and female passenger of the car were taken to Royal Alexandria Hospital in Paisley as a precaution.
The road was closed for around five hours whilst investigations were carried out and re-opened around 8.50pm.
Sergeant Hugh Niccolls, of Dumbarton Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who has died in this crash and our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
“I am asking anyone who may have been in the area at the time and saw what happened or who has dash-cam footage that could assist with our investigation to get in touch.”
