A family-run Italian cocktail bar in Edinburgh's city centre was included in the prestigious Top 50 Cocktail Bars list thanks to its "well crafted" cocktails and a "killer playlist".
Hey Palu, located at 49 Bread Street, brings traditional Italian aperitivo style to the heart of the Scottish capital, complementing it with a welcoming atmosphere and a carefully considered playlist.
Rachel, co-owner of the bar, said: "It's an incredible feeling to be part of the UK top 50 cocktail bars, especially being such a small team and still a relatively new bar on the scene.

"When we opened Hey Palu, we wanted to create a neighbourhood bar for the community around us, and it's great to be recognised for our hard work."

- Modern cocktails have included the likes of the Pink Pigeon Club made using Roku Gin, preserved raspberry, strawberry, cranberry, lemon and aquafaba;
- the Smoked Banana Old Fashioned, made with Myers Rum, Jamaican rum, banana, tonka bean and Fernet Branca Smoke;
- and the Tiramisu! made using Buffalo Trace Bourbon, marsala, Averna Amaro Siciliano, espresso and mascarpone.
