An angry Hays Travel customer was left with just $28 (approximately £20) spending money in New York - after arriving in the Big Apple to find his pre-booked hotel 'hadn't been paid'.
Michael Hulme booked the £1,168 package through the firm's Newcastle branch for the four-day break to The Gallivant Times Square hotel with his partner Kerry Barlow, StokeonTrentLive reports.
The 59-year-old grandfather was left stunned, however, after hotel staff in the Big Apple told him his room had not been paid for.
