Cult Gaia got an early start on New York Fashion Week this season. On September 9, the Los Angeles-based brand presented its Spring 2027 collection at the Gilder Center inside the American Museum of Natural History, one day before the official CFDA NYFW schedule began.
The timing was deliberate. The CFDA's official calendar opened on September 10, while Ralph Lauren, Coach, Rachel Comey, J. Press, Libertine and Cult Gaia were among the labels presenting on September 9. Vogue also described Cult Gaia, Ralph Lauren, Coach and Rachel Comey as holding runway shows on the eve of the official week.
For designer and founder Jasmin Larian Hekmat, the presentation marked her second time showing during New York Fashion Week. WWD characterized Cult Gaia as taking "a page from the Ralph Lauren playbook" by staging its second East Coast runway show ahead of the official start of the week.
