Cult Beauty is the go-to online beauty retailer that we’ve become fond of since is launched back in 2008 - and now it’s celebrating 15 years of selling everything from skincare to makeup, fake tan, beauty tools, fragrance, grooming products and so much more!
Now here’s the best part! They’ve launched a special beauty sale where you can get up to 20% off selected beauty favourites including Glow Recipe, Sol de Janeiro, Charlotte Tilbury, MILK Makeup, to name a few, with the code: AFFBDAY!
How good is that? And in the name of research, our Beauty Editor has picked out just some of her favourites and why you should be adding them into your shopping basket asap!
From blushers to SPF, body care to primer, haircare to mascara - even a lash serum that Meghan Markle is said to be a fan of too, these are just a few of the beauty essentials our Beauty Editor uses daily and swears by.
Starting with the Supergoop Glow Screen, priced from £17. “Think Flawless Filter in an SPF form” says Sarah. “I mix a bit of this everyday with a factor 50 SPF or just with some foundation for a dewy, glowy finish. It’s perfect for those ‘no-makeup-makeup’ days when all you need is a little concealer for extra coverage around the eyes.” Sarah’s favourite factor 50 SPF? Well it’s none other than La Roche-Posay Anthelios UVMune 400 Invisible Fluid for £19.90.
Another product Sarah’s obsessed with is the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Matte Beauty Blush Wand, £30. “I mix Pink Pop and Peach Pop together for the most gorgeous summery colour - or I mostly wear Pink Pop alone as I think it’s the most gorgeous natural pink colour.”
“For those who are looking to minimise pores and smooth general skin texture, then the Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant from Paula’s Choice is the one for you. Priced at £34, I’ve had trouble with trying to minimise my pores for years - and this made them look smaller over night!”
If you have a wedding coming up, big event like a birthday or just want you makeup to last as long as you do on a night out, reach for MILK Makeup’s Hydro Grip Setting Spray, from £20. “I once fell down the stairs with a full drink which splashed my entire face - thankfully my makeup hadn’t moved an inch with the help of MILK’s Setting Spray! I just had to blowdry my lashes and was good for the night.”
“When it comes to removing my makeup and SPF after a long day, it has to be the Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm. I’ve tried quite a few balms over the years, including dupes - and nothing compares to the OG. Priced at £46, it’s not cheap I know, but you only need a little bit to make it go a long way!”
Sarah’s tried many brow products over the years, but the only she can always rely on for keeping them in place is Benefit’s 24-Hour Brow Setter Clear Brow Gel, £24.50. “My bushy babies stay put all day without looking crusty - even when I’m sweating it out at the gym or dancing the night away.”
Revitalash Advanced Eyelash Conditioner is another beauty product Sarah is never far away from, priced at £129. “There are so many incredible lash growth serums on the market right now for a lot less, but if this one is good enough for Meghan Markle - I’m having it.”
“Holiday’s are expensive and the thought of packing five days worth of clothing into a tiny case with my liquids stresses me out! Thankfully using the Sol de Janerio Bum Bum Cream and Cheirosa 62 Mist Bundle (£65) transports me to an exotic location in seconds.”
These are just a few of Beauty Editor Sarah’s favourites, but you can shop Cult Beauty’s Birthday Sale here - and don’t forget to enter AFFBDAY for up to 20% selected products.
