The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has reopened the online application window for the 22nd edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) from August 25, 2026. Eligible candidates who could not apply during the earlier registration period can now submit their applications until September 1, 2026.
Candidates who have already successfully completed and submitted their CTET applications do not need to apply again. CBSE issued the public notice on August 25, citing the Supreme Court's emphasis on giving eligible teachers a reasonable opportunity to fulfil the statutory requirement of acquiring the prescribed Teacher Eligibility Test qualification.
