CSKCL net profit jumps four times, turnover doubles

CHENNAI: Chennai Super Kings Cricket's (CSKCL) net profit jumped more than four-fold at Rs 229 crore in FY24 against Rs 52 crore in FY23. CSK, a franchise cricket team of the IPL, saw its turnover more than double at Rs 676 crore in 2023-24 from Rs 292 crore in the previous fiscal (2022-23).

The growth in total revenue for 2023-24 compared with the previous year was mainly due to increase in revenue on account of BCCI's central rights and ticketing income, the company said in its annual report for the year 2024.

According to the report, Rupa Gurunath, trustee for Financial Service Trust and Security Services Trust, one of the promoter entity holding 1,99,54,024 equity shares transferred the entire holdings 99,80,000 equity shares to the Settlor ICL Financial Services and 99,74,024 equity shares of each to another Settlor, ICL Securities. ICL Financial Services and ICL Securities transferred their respective holdings in the company to EWS Finance and Investments during July 2024.
