NEW DELHI: Five-time Indian Premier League (IPL) champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have Rs 55 crore to put together a squad at the two-day IPL Auction in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Coming into the auction at the Abadi Al Johar Arena, CSK had spent INR 65 crore out of their total purse of INR 120 crore on retaining five players: Ruturaj Gaikwad (INR 18 crore), Shivam Dube (INR 12 crore), Ravindra Jadeja (INR 18 crore), Matheesha Pathirana (INR 13 crore) and MS Dhoni (Rs 4 crore).
In Jeddah, they began their shopping by bagging Devon Conway for INR 6.25 crore
