Crystal Palace XI vs Brentford: Predicted lineup, confirmed team news, injury latest for Premier League today

Nathan Ferguson has had another injury setback and is set to be sidelined for up to six weeks.

The full-back has made just one substitute appearance since joining Palace from West Brom in July 2020 and sustained a hamstring injury in a behind closed doors friendly.

“Nathan had the hamstring setback, so he will be out for five to six weeks,” said Patrick Vieira.

“It is a shame, because he worked quite hard to get back on the field with the team, but we will give him the support that he needs for him to come back and enjoy himself on the field.

“It’s a difficult period, but we will give him the love and attention that he needs to get back on the field as quickly as possible.”

Elsewhere, Cheikhou Kouyate could return after winning the Africa Cup of Nations with Senegal.

James McArthur could feature, having made the bench for the midweek draw with Norwich City.

Wilfried Zaha has stressed he is happy to take another penalty after his scuffed attempt at Carrow Road and will almost certainly feature once more.

Crystal Palace XI: Guaita, Ward, Anderson, Guehi, Mitchell, Gallagher, Hughes, Schlupp, Ayew, Edouard, Zaha

Injured: Nathan Ferguson (hamstring)

Venue: Brentford Community Stadium

Date and time: Saturday 12 February 2022 at 3pm GMT
