A London derby involving Arsenal kicks off the Premier League season once again on Friday evening, with Crystal Palace the opponents at Selhurst Park.
The Gunners, spearheaded by the goals of in-form new signing Gabriel Jesus, have been in superb form during an impressive summer campaign both on the pitch and in transfer negotiations, though will not need reminding either of their sorry 3-0 capitulation on the same ground back in April or indeed their woeful opening night defeat by Brentford last term.
Palace have had some encouraging results themselves over pre-season and look poised to take the next step forward after an encouraging first campaign under the guidance of Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira.
