Flynn Downes is closing in on a move from Swansea City to Crystal Palace.
The midfielder enjoyed an impressive debut campaign with the Swans after joining from Ipswich Town last summer. As a result of his efforts in south Wales, he has attracted plenty of attention, with WalesOnline last week revealing Palace, Wolves and Southampton had been tracking the Englishman.
It is understood that Downes is now expected to secure a permanent move to Selhurst Park in a switch which is likely to pave the way for Joe Allen to return to the Swansea.com Stadium.
