Crystal Palace team news vs Wolves as Patrick Vieira makes striker decision at Molineux

Patrick Vieira has made three changes to his starting XI this afternoon as Crystal Palace take on Wolves in the Premier League at Molineux.

The Eagles booked their place in the FA Cup quarter-finals with a tense 2-1 win over Stoke City in midweek though Vieira warned afterwards their performance in the match was far from what he expected of his side.

With that in mind, the Frenchman has reverted to his preferred defence barring the still-injured Joel Ward at right-back.

Vicente Guaita returns between the sticks in place of Jack Butland after recovering from injury, while Joachim Andersen and Marc Guehi start at centre-back with the latter captaining the side.

Tyrick Mitchell - who was rested by Vieira in midweek in place of youngster Tayo Adaramola - returns at left-back, while Nathaniel Clyne continues to deputise for Ward on the right.

In midfield, Vieira has kept faith with Cheikhou Kouyate despite an indifferent performance against the Potters, though Will Hughes has been dropped in place of Jeffrey Schlupp.

Conor Gallagher is also restored to the starting XI as Vieira reverts back to his more familiar 4-3-3 formation.

The front three is made up of Wilfried Zaha, Jean-Philippe Mateta and Michael Olise. Odsonne Edouard and Christian Benteke are both on the bench alongside Eberechi Eze.

Crystal Palace XI: Guaita, Mitchell, Andersen, Guehi, Clyne, Kouyate, Schlupp, Gallagher, Zaha, Mateta, Olise.

Substitues: Butland, Milivojevic, Ayew, Eze, Hughes, Benteke, Edouard, Kelly, Riedewald.
