Crystal Palace enquire about loan move for out of favour Manchester United midfielder

Crystal Palace have reportedly enquired about the availability of a loan move for Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek.

The 24-year-old has played just 69 minutes of Premier League football for the Red Devils so far this season and has a total of 14 appearances for them across all competitions.

He is said to want to play more minutes and had hoped that would change with the arrival of Ralf Rangick as manager, though this has not been the case.

Journalist Fabrizio Romano is now reporting that Palace have made contact with United over a potential loan deal for Van de Beek but that Ragnick is reluctant to let the Dutchman go.

The transfer guru added that Spanish outfit Valencia have also registered their interest in a loan move for the player but that any deal would not include an option to buy.

Palace have been hoping to add players to their squad this January, though so far Patrick Vieira has not been able to bring anyone through the door at Selhurst Park.

"We will try to improve the squad, this is a difficult period to find the right players," he said in a press conference last week.

"We are working and trying to improve and if we can bring a couple of players in that will be good for the squad, if not we will keep trying to improve players individually so that we can be a bit stronger collectively."
