February WTI crude oil (CLG26) on Friday closed down -0.10 (-0.17%), and February RBOB gasoline (RBG26) closed down -0.0168 (-0.08%).
Crude oil and gasoline prices tumbled to 2-week lows on Friday on expectations for a record global supply surplus. Both the International Energy Agency (IEA) and the US government expect global production to exceed consumption, from a 4-year high in 2025 to a record this year. Friday's stronger dollar was also bearish for energy prices.
