Crude Prices Plunge on Energy Demand Concerns and Over-Supply Fears

April WTI crude oil (CLJ25) today is down -2.91 (-4.26%), and April RBOB gasoline (RBJ25) is down -0.0942 (-4.29%).

Crude oil and gasoline prices today are sharply lower, with crude sliding to a 1-3/4 year low. Crude prices are under pressure today as US tariff uncertainty weighs on the outlook for energy demand. Also, OPEC+ said Monday it plans to restart some halted crude production in April. Crude prices extended their losses after weekly EIA crude inventories rose more than expected to a 7-month high. Crude prices are sinking today despite a plunge in the dollar index (DXY00) to a 3-3/4 month low.
