Crude Prices Edge Lower on Dollar Strength and Trump Tariff Threats

March WTI crude oil (CLH25) today is down -0.36 (-0.48%), and March RBOB gasoline (RBH25) is up +0.0055 (+0.26%).

Crude and gasoline prices today are mixed, with crude falling to a 1-1/2 week low.  Crude is under pressure today from a stronger dollar and President Trump's threat to impose a 10% tariff on Chinese goods, which may start a trade war that curbs global growth and would be bearish for energy demand and crude prices.  Losses in crude are limited as US sanctions on Russian crude have tightened global oil markets.
