Crude Oil Prices Settle Lower as US-Iranian Nuclear Talks to Continue

April WTI crude oil (CLJ26) on Thursday closed down -0.21 (-0.32%), and April RBOB gasoline (RBJ26) closed up +0.0079 (+0.35%).

Crude oil and gasoline prices settled mixed on Thursday in volatile trade, with crude falling to a 1-week low.  Crude prices whipsawed between higher and lower, then lower again, as the situation in negotiations between the US and Iran remains fluid.  Crude prices gave up mid-morning gains and settled lower on Thursday after the Oman mediator said the US and Iran will continue nuclear talks at a technical level next week after making "significant progress" in Switzerland.
