Crucifix stolen from Gosforth church to be rededicated after safe return and restoration

A stolen crucifix which has been returned and restored to its former glory is to be rededicated by the Bishop of Berwick next month.

Bishop Mark Wroe will join the Revd Canon Andrew Shipton at All Saints Church in Gosforth on Passion Sunday, March 26, for a service of thanksgiving and rededication.

It comes almost two years after the highly significant sculpture was stolen from the Garden of Remembrance at All Saints Church during an overnight raid in May 2021.
