A man in his 40s has been arrested following an armed stand-off in Co Wexford on Sunday.
Gardai were called to the scene of a residence on Main Street, Castlebridge, at around 4.35pm after receiving reports of a man wielding a machete type knife shouting at passers-bys.
The man is believed to have become increasingly irate and locked himself inside the building as a number of garda units rushed to the scene.

A male Garda Sergeant received a nasty laceration to the head after being struck by an object thrown during the course of the incident. It is understood to have been a glass bottle.
He was taken to Wexford General Hospital for treatment.
The stand-off is understood to have lasted for a number of hours as the road was sealed off and crowds gathered to see what was unfolding. A number of videos are now circulating on social media.
A man in his 40s was later arrested at the scene and has since been charged.
He appeared before Wexford District on Monday morning of Monday.
