Cristiano Ronaldo slammed by Man Utd fans for poorly-timed tweet after explosive interview

Cristiano Ronaldo has been blasted by Manchester United fans after he took to Twitter to promote his new collection of NFTs while the scandal surrounding his latest interview rages on.

Ronaldo's announcement comes in the middle of a media storm surrounding his upcoming explosive, tell-all discussion with Piers Morgan Uncensored. Trailers for the discussion have already been released and have shocked the footballing world with how brutally honest the forward has been.

United's iconic number seven has taken aim at just about everyone associated with the club, including manager Erik ten Hag, but Ronaldo is clearly not feeling any kind of scrutiny as he continues to flog his own merchandise. His tweet for the new line of NFTs read: "My NFT collection is coming on November 18, exclusively on @Binance.

"This is your chance to join my Web3 community and own iconic moments from my career. Sign up now with code RONALDO to prepare, and receive a surprise when the collection drops."

One fan responded: "And you say United are all about the marketing", while another simply added: "You're finished."

Another supporter clearly hasn't taken Ronaldo's interview with Morgan well, as they wrote: "After the interview, I can ask myself this question: Am I crazy if I think Ronaldo doesn't enter top five best players in Portugal's history?"

In truth, it can hardly come as a surprise to the five-time Ballon d'Or winner following the way he went after the likes of Ten Hag, Wayne Rooney and the club's lack of progression as a whole.

On his manager, Ronaldo said, via The Sun: "I don't have respect for him because he doesn't show respect for me. If you don't have respect for me, I'm never gonna have respect for you."

As a result, it looks increasingly likely that Ronaldo has played his final game for United, but that won't come as much of a blow to a player who has wanted out of Old Trafford since the summer.

It is the belief of many fans and pundits alike that the only reason the 37-year-old remains a Red Devil is because of the lack of interest from other suitors when he issued his 'come and get me' plea to anyone who was listening in the most recent transfer window.

Analysing United's biggest problems, Ronaldo did not hold back as he explained: "The progress was zero. Since Sir Alex [Ferguson] left, I saw no evolution in the club. Nothing had changed, I think the fans should know the truth. I want the best for the club. This is why I come to Manchester United."

"But you have some things inside that don’t help (us) reach the top level as City, Liverpool and even now Arsenal... a club with this dimension should be top of the tree in my opinion and they are not, unfortunately."
