Ronaldo 'pencilled in' for Al-Nassr medical
Cristiano Ronaldo has taken a step closer to joining his next club after leaving Manchester United.
Ronaldo, 37, headed to the World Cup in Qatar with Portugal as a free agent after United and the five-time Ballon d'Or winner parted ways for the second time. It came following his explosive interview with Piers Morgan in which he criticised the club, Erik ten Hag and several figures associated past and present.

Ultimately, there was no way back for Ronaldo at Old Trafford - as reports claim the superstar has been booked in for a medical ahead of his next move. As per CBS Sports and other international outlets, Saudi outfit Al Nassr have pencilled in that particular formality as well as offering him $75million (£62m) per season in his contract.
Lingard breaks silence on "false promises"
Jesse Lingard says he was never told why Manchester United failed to deliver on their "false promises" during his final season at Old Trafford - seemingly taking aim at Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick.
Having progressed through the Academy, before spending two decades with the club, Lingard is gearing up for a first return to his beloved United with Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night (8pm). It should be an emotional night for Lingard and his family due to their association.
Lingard played 232 games for United - scoring 35 goals and providing 21 assists - but his last 12 months at the club were overshadowed. He totted up only 355 minutes in the Premier League and was denied a farewell appearance when Brentford headed to Old Trafford for the final home match.
