Cristiano Ronaldo has declared Manchester United back on track after their pulsating 4-2 victory over Leeds.
In testing conditions at Elland Road, it was United who coped with them best on the way to claiming three points against their arch rivals from across the M62.
Ronaldo passed up a golden opportunity during the early stages after combining with Paul Pogba.
However, that close-range miss proved insignificant in the end as goals from Harry Maguire, Bruno Fernandes, Fred and Academy starlet Anthony Elanga settled the scores.
It was a particularly sweet moment for Elanga when he netted after the Swedish teenager was earlier struck by an object thrown from the Elland Road crowd.
Elanga and United had the last laugh, though, as attentions shift quickly to the Champions League.
No sooner than returning to Manchester from West Yorkshire, the Old Trafford giants are set to fly out to Spain for the last-16 opener with reigning La Liga champions Atletico Madrid. Back to back wins against Brighton and Leeds have restored hope in the United camp as they prepare to continue their last remaining charge for silverware in the marquee European competition.
Ronaldo has addressed that impending turnaround while taking to social media platform Instagram.

In a rallying call to teammates, supporters and his 404million followers, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner said: "Very important Premier League win before we change our focus to the Champions League and head to Madrid. Back on track! We stand United."
Ronaldo spent nine hugely successful years in the Spanish capital with Real Madrid after leaving United in 2003.
