Cristiano Ronaldo has hailed the home support inside Old Trafford as Manchester United fought back to claim a point against Chelsea.
The Blues were the better side for much of the contest in the north west. United had been on the receiving end of damaging defeats in the past fortnight, losing on the road at Liverpool and Arsenal to all but end their Champions League ambitions. They looked to be heading for another defeat when Marcos Alonso scored for Chelsea on Thursday night.
However Ronaldo quickly got United back level as he thundered home an equaliser in front of the Stretford End. The Old Trafford faithful have endured a tough time of it this term with United failing to deliver on numerous occasions, but Ronaldo praised their efforts.
