As you might expect, Cristiano Ronaldo has been in no mood to rest up during the winter break, and he had a message for his ‘training partner’ Diogo Dalot.
The pair have been in Dubai this week after Manchester United’s players were given the chance to head away on their holidays, with no game for them this weekend.
Dalot posted a picture on Instagram of himself with Ronaldo at the NAS Sports Complex, where they have been put through their paces as they look to make sure they’re ready and raring to go when the players report back to training on Saturday.
The full-back included a picture of himself with his United and Portugal team-mate alongside the caption "training partners”, as well as images of himself working hard at in the heat of the United Arab Emirates.
Dalot has of course found himself picking up regular starts for United in recent weeks, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka injured and then out of favour. And the Portuguese has certainly made the most of his opportunity in the side.
Dalot has impressed with his performances at right-back as results have picked up in the last couple of weeks, with victories over Brentford and West Ham leaving the Reds fourth heading into the winter break.
And Ronaldo had a special message for his compatriot as he replied to the post “não falha”, which translates to “don’t fail”.
Dalot and Ronaldo aren’t the only ones who have been put through their paces at the NAS Sports Complex.
Paul Pogba has also posted pictures of himself at the Dubai facility as he continues his recovery from injury.
The French midfielder had been expected to be out for at least a few more weeks, but recent pictures of him in training with United’s squad have suggested he could return sooner than anticipated.
Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford have also shared pictures and videos of them training in Dubai.
