After months of speculation surrounding the future of Cristiano Ronaldo at Manchester United, the season is finally about to get underway with the forward potentially set to start against Brighton in the Premier League on Sunday.
Ronaldo has requested to leave the club and has been criticised after leaving the club's final pre-season friendly against Rayo Vallecano at half-time. United boss Erik ten Hag has had to field questions on the topic of his talisman's future but has insisted he remains a part of his plans.

Despite his lack of game time, the star has sent a message to fans and manager Ten Hag, insisting that he is ready for the new campaign.
