Cristiano Ronaldo Restrained From Punching Referee In Heated Match.

Cristiano Ronaldo almost punches ref after being sent off

Videos are circulating on social media showing a controversial incident involving Al-Nassr's Cristiano Ronaldo during a recent match against Al-Hilal in the Saudi Super Cup semi-final clash on April 8. Al-Hilal, currently leading the Saudi Pro League by 12 points, faced off against Al-Nassr in a tense encounter.

The game remained goalless for the first hour until Salem Aldawsari scored for Al-Hilal, followed by Malcom doubling the lead in the 72nd minute. The pivotal moment occurred with five minutes left in regular time when Ronaldo, after a throw-in was awarded to Al-Nassr, attempted to retrieve the ball quickly. Al-Hilal's Ali Al-Bulaihi obstructed Ronaldo, leading to a heated exchange.

Ronaldo was seen shouldering Al-Bulaihi and then elbowing him in the chest, causing the Al-Hilal player to fall dramatically. Subsequent footage suggested a possible stamp by Ronaldo on Al-Bulaihi, although the view was partially obscured by advertising boards. The altercation escalated as players from both teams intervened, resulting in Ronaldo being shown a red card by referee Mohammed Al Hoaish.

Despite protests, Ronaldo avoided further disciplinary action after briefly raising a fist towards Al-Bulaihi. Reduced to 10 men, Al-Nassr managed to score a late goal through Sadio Mane, but it was insufficient as Al-Hilal secured the victory and progressed to the next round of the cup.

The incident has sparked debate and garnered attention on social media platforms, with fans and pundits analyzing the actions of the players involved. The outcome of the match has left Al-Nassr disappointed, while Al-Hilal continues their impressive form in the league and cup competitions.
