NEW DELHI: Cristiano Ronaldo showcased his scoring prowess once again as Al-Nassr came from behind to secure a 3-1 victory against Tajikistan's Istiklol in the Asian Champions League. Senin Sebai had given Istiklol the lead just before half-time, but Ronaldo equalized in the 66th minute with a clever clipped finish. Anderson Talisca then headed Al-Nassr in front six minutes later, and the Brazilian sealed the victory with a low shot into the corner 13 minutes from time.
This win marked Al-Nassr's second consecutive victory in the group stage of the competition and propelled them to the top of Group E with a three-point lead. Iran's Persepolis secured second place in the group with a 1-0 victory over Al Duhail of Qatar, thanks to Omid Alishah's goal in the 63rd minute.
