Cristiano Ronaldo Jr has put his father in an awkward position after being caught on camera slamming the current Manchester United team.
The 11-year-old, who only officially signed for United last week, has been seen on a video, which has since gone viral on social media, agreeing that United are “s***”.
Ronaldo's oldest son, named after the Portuguese icon, was pictured posing with United's famous No.7 shirt at the end of last week, having agreed to extend his stay in the club’s youth setup.
The youngster came to Manchester along with his father and siblings last summer, after the Portugal superstar sensationally returned to Old Trafford after 12 years away.
Ronaldo Jr, was confronted in the TikTok video and asked him if he is enjoying himself, to which he replies ‘yes’.
Ronaldo Jr, for whom English is not his first language, was then quickly asked another question by the opportunistic individual: “United are s*** aren’t they?”
He gave the same answer whilst smiling down the camera wearing his official Manchester United tracksuit.
Ronaldo senior has come in for criticism for appearing to be quite negative since his return, with United well off the pace in the Premier League.
The 37-year-old took aim at some of his younger colleagues for their attitude, before suggesting he had not come back to English football to compete for little more than league position.
"Manchester United should win the league or be second or third," he told Sky Sports last month. "I don’t see any other position for Manchester United.
"In my heart, I don’t accept that our mentality be less than being in the top three in the Premier League, in my opinion.
"I think to build up good things, sometimes you have to destroy a few things.
"So why not – new year, new life and I hope that Manchester [United] can be the level that the fans want. They deserve that."
Ronaldo recently posted a picture to his social media in which he was playing football alongside his son, with the caption “Present and future”.
Ronaldo has four children, who he raises with his partner Georgina Rodriguez: Cristiano Jr, Eva, Mateo and Alana Martina. The couple are expecting twins this spring.
Despite Cristiano Jr's blossoming football career, Ronaldo has promised never to put pressure on his oldest son.
"Only time will tell," said the football icon in Georgina's new Netflix series, I Am Georgina. "I will never pressure him. He will do what he wants.
"Also what I want the most for Cristiano and everyone else is that they're happy and that they choose what they want. I will support in any way."
