Cristiano Ronaldo invites Anthony Elanga to copy iconic 'Siuuu' celebration after Man United goal

Cristiano Ronaldo invited Manchester United teammate Anthony Elanga to copy his iconic 'Siuuu' celebration after they combined for a quirky statistic against Norwich. It was that man Ronaldo who took centre stage this Saturday afternoon with a first-half double.

They were his 13th and 14th goals of the Premier League season. Ronaldo needed seven minutes to make his mark, although Elanga served up that opener to him on a plate as the five-time Ballon d'Or winner was left with a simple, close-range finish. He later made it 2-0 before Norwich hit back.

Moving past Harry Kane and Sadio Mane in the goal-scoring charts, the 37-year-old superstar also etched his name into the historic books alongside Elanga; with the 17 years and 81 days between them representing the biggest age gap between goal-scorer and assist-maker.

That unusual United milestone was certainly a cause for celebration. It was time to wheel out the big one!

Ronaldo celebrates goal after goal with an iconic routine he first made famous at Real Madrid. With a hop, skip and jump followed by a twist and him shouting 'Siuuu' at the top of his voice, you wouldn't have to travel too far to see that being replicated on school playgrounds or Sunday League pitches.

However, on this occasion, the United superstar gave the green light to Elanga to follow suit. The teenager took up that offer and synchronised the 'Siuuu' celebration in perfect harmony with Ronaldo.

It was a wholesome moment over by the corner flag as the returning Jesse Lingard also joined in after being given a rare chance. Lingard has only started twice in the Premier League this season.
