Cristiano Ronaldo gives Erik ten Hag verdict at Man United as Jude Bellingham confirms future

Here are your Manchester United headlines on Saturday, May 14.

Cristiano Ronaldo breaks silence on Erik ten Hag appointment

Cristiano Ronaldo has warned that Erik ten Hag will need time to be a success at Manchester United, though he retains hope that the club will challenge for trophies next season. Despite Ronaldo's goal-scoring exploits — for which he was crowned the Premier League's Player of the Month for April — United have endured yet another dismal season and their trophy drought has now stretched to five years.

One thing the club did manage to achieve, however, was their aim of hiring their next permanent manager before the end of the campaign, however. It was announced that Ajax boss Ten Hag would take charge in the summer last month after a £1.75million fee was agreed to release him from his contract in Amsterdam.

Jude Bellingham confirms summer transfer plans

Jude Bellingham insists he will still be at Borussia Dortmund next season amid continued United interest in his signature. The England international rejected a move to Old Trafford two years ago to sign for the Bundesliga side, after deciding Dortmund could offer him the best environment for his development.

Bellingham, 18, has shone in Germany and benefited from the regular playing time in both the domestic game and European competition. His stellar performances have led to further interest in his signature, with United and Liverpool both understood to be admirers of the former Birmingham City midfielder.
