Cristiano Ronaldo could reunite with Manchester United player after ‘training ground bust-up’ and more rumours

Cristiano Ronaldo could be set to reunite with former Manchester United teammate Alex Telles at Al-Nassr.

Telles is currently out on loan at Sevilla for the season and is expected to be sold by parent club United this summer with 12 months left on his deal. The Brazil international was reportedly involved in a training ground bust-up with Hannibal Mejbri in May while Ralf Rangnick was still in charge.

The German was said to be so enraged by the coming-together - which occurred after the 4-0 defeat to Liverpool - that he ended the session early. Telles was Rangnick’s favoured left-back during his tenure but Ten Hag’s first United transfer move to sign Tyrell Malacia indicated his intentions for the position.

With Telles likely heading for a new club for next season, Diario AS claims that Al-Nassr have lodged an interest in the defender. The Saudi club are looking to cement their global image following the arrival of Ronaldo in January, with the outfit also said to be interested in a number of other high-profile names including Marco Reus.

Meanwhile, Portuguese outlet O Jogo claims United scouts went to watch Porto’s 1-0 win over Boavista on Sunday. It isn’t confirmed which players they were tracking but goalkeeper Diogo Costa has been frequently linked with an Old Trafford move.

Current 'keeper David de Gea is expected to sign a new deal with reduced terms before his current contract expires in June but his long-term role at the club is not clear. Dean Henderson is likely to make an exit following his loan at Nottingham Forest while debut-less Jack Butland is said to be on the brink of joining Rangers.

Ten Hag is widely thought to be keen on acquiring a goalkeeper who is comfortable with the ball at feet going forward. De Gea’s two mistakes against Sevilla have cast doubt over how long Ten Hag will keep him as his number one beyond this season despite his numerous heroic stops.
