Cristiano Ronaldo has rubbished suggestions he told fans "I'm not finished" after helping Manchester United defeat Brentford on Monday night.
The Portugal superstar, 37, was on the scoresheet as the Red Devils earned a comfortable 3-0 victory to end their three-match winless run. Ronaldo converted a penalty just after the hour mark to double the early lead Bruno Fernandes gave the hosts at Old Trafford.
Raphael Varane then scored his first goal for the club to ensure United earned all three points from their final home Premier League game of the season. After the match, the men in red thanked their fans for the support they have received throughout a troubled season with a lap of honour to all corners of the ground.
